Supporting young children, their families, and the educators who guide them by building the play, social, and emotional skills that form the foundation for lifelong learning.
How Stronger Roots came to be…
Hi, I’m Chrissy Lloyd, a special education teacher who has spent the last ten years focused on Early childhood development. I partnered with my local intermediate unit to provide direct instruction for children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum disorder. During that time, I’ve seen a growing challenge: both teachers and parents are struggling to help young children manage emotional meltdowns, develop self-regulation skills, and learn how to play effectively with toys and peers.
Many experienced educators are asking the same question: why are children entering preschool without basic play skills? At the same time, parents often feel overwhelmed when schools look to them for answers they may not have.
The reality is that our world has changed, and the way we support children needs to evolve with it.
Stronger Roots Educational Services was created to help bridge that gap. Traditional teacher training in Pennsylvania often consists of webinars or lectures that offer limited real-world support. But the most effective learning happens through modeling, practice, and immediate feedback. Stronger Roots provides hands-on, “boots on the ground” coaching in early childhood environments—modeling strategies in the classroom, guiding teachers in real time, and helping them build practical skills they can use every day.
In addition to supporting educators, Stronger Roots also offers enrichment classes for children. These small-group sessions provide direct instruction focused on play skills, social development, and emotional regulation. Not every child thrives in a large-group learning environment, and not every child qualifies for special education services—leaving many children without the support they need. These enrichment opportunities are designed to help bridge that gap and give children the skills they need to succeed.
My mission is simple: to support the children who need more, and the teachers and families who are working hard to help them grow. 🌱
